Restore Your London Façade — Without Scaffolding

Specialist cleaning for stone, brick, terracotta, render, glass and metal cladding. Curb appeal back, surfaces protected, building open and trading throughout.

A Clean Façade Protects More Than Appearance

Atmospheric soiling, biological growth and pollution staining are not just cosmetic. Black gypsum crusts on limestone trap moisture and accelerate erosion of the stone face. Algae and lichen on render hold water and damage the finish. Bird soiling on stone is acidic and etches the substrate.

Periodic specialist cleaning extends the life of the façade and is consistently cheaper than the restoration that replaces it.

For commercial properties — hotels, offices, retail, hospitality — the impact on first impressions is direct. A streaked, grimy elevation reads as neglect long before any tenant or guest crosses the threshold.

Rope access keeps the building open during the works. No pavement closure, no hoarding, no parking suspensions and no week-long scaffold erection blocking the entrance.

Method Matched to Substrate

Portland & Limestone

Low-pressure superheated water (DOFF), micro-abrasive (TORC) or chemical poultice depending on staining and substrate condition.

Brick & Stock Brick

Soft washing for biological soiling, controlled steam for hydrocarbons. Pointing condition assessed and reported during the same visit.

Terracotta & Faience

Glaze-safe cleaning that preserves the fired surface — gentle steam and pH-neutral biocide rather than abrasive methods.

Render & Painted Surfaces

Soft wash with biocide treatment to kill algae and lichen at the root, preventing rapid re-soiling. Detergent system for grime.

Glass & Curtain Walling

Pure-water reverse-osmosis cleaning for spot-free finish on every elevation, including hard-to-access atria and recesses.

Metal & Composite Cladding

Surface-safe detergents tailored to coated aluminium, ACM, zinc and stainless. Gentle on coatings, hard on grime.

A Different Cost and Disruption Curve

1

Building Stays Open

No scaffold, no hoarding, no closed entrances. Hotels and retail trade normally; offices stay productive.

2

Half the Total Cost

Cleaning is a labour task — no need for a scaffold structure. Rope access typically prices façade cleaning at 40–60% below the scaffold-and-clean equivalent.

3

Defect Survey Included

While cleaning, our team logs every pointing defect, lifted lead and stained area — you receive a free defect summary at handover.

From Test Patch to Final Walk

Test Patches First

No method goes on the building at scale before a discreet test patch is reviewed and signed off — protects the substrate and the budget.

Containment & Drainage

Pavement protection, drain covers and run-off control to keep the surrounding environment as it was found.

Phased Elevations

Elevation by elevation, with photographs at each stage. Final walk-around with you before sign-off.

Façade Cleaning — Frequently Asked

For a typical four- to six-storey London commercial elevation, allow 3–7 working days depending on substrate, soiling level and elevation count. We programme per elevation so the building is impacted in stages rather than at once.
Method is always matched to substrate, and we test before going to scale. Failed pointing or weak masonry is identified during the test patch and noted in the survey before any wider works — we do not clean over a defect we will create.
Atmospheric soiling typically takes 5–8 years to return on protected elevations, less on exposed ones. Biological growth on render returns within 2–4 years unless biocide is reapplied — we offer protective coating and maintenance cycles for both.
Yes — masonry water repellent and anti-graffiti coatings are routinely applied during the same mobilisation, extending the life of the clean and reducing future intervention.
